When we think of wood watches, some of us might imagine them as masculine looking. That’s definitely not true! Jord Wood Watches‘ Cora series offer simple, chic, and elegant wood watches. This particular one is Cora Purpleheart & Mother of Pearl. When I received the watch, the first thing that made me super excited was that it’s an automatic watch (no battery required)! I’ve always wished for watch companies to produce more automatic watches for women. Winding it can be tricky, but that’s the art of an automatic watch isn’t it? The watch comes in a nice wood box and a “hidden” humidifier pack to preserve the wood quality. Jord Wood Watches provides custom sizing, so it was adjusted based on my wrist size before it was shipped. It’s light and comfortable, I have no problem wearing it for a whole day. To be honest I was worried the colour might be a bit too bright, but I was glad it turned out to be darker than I expected and easily matched with minimalist style outfit. It can definitely be worn in all seasons!

It’s still two weeks away until the first day of fall, but Vancouver weather has said goodbye to summer. I’m still in the mood for white top and white pants, so I transformed the summer pieces into fall outfit by adding bomber jacket and wood watch. Voilà, I’m ready for fall!

Let’s take a break from black + white for a bit. Navy, white, and stripe…nautical is definitely my favourite this summer. It’s simple and chic!

Jeans are one of the timeless wardrobe essentials that everyone should own. Although they are often classified as too casual, they can also look chic depending on how you mix and match. To dress up a pair of jeans, I love to style it with other classic pieces such as blouse and blazer with clean lines and minimal colour.

Blazer is one of the wardrobe essentials that makes an outfit looks more classy and well put together. If you’re not a big fan of classic blazer, you might want to check out Wilfred Chevalier Jacket from Aritzia. This drapey blazer is very comfortable, chic, and versatile. It can be styled with a dress shirt for a more professional look, or a little black dress for a night out!
Weekend is the perfect time to unwind, so I prefer wearing something casual and comfortable, but not sloppy. Here is a list of my weekend essentials (or “weekend uniform”):

I’m back! Time flies… it has been three months since the last blog post. For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you might know that I was sick on and off since January. Winter is finally over, and I’m very happy to say “hello spring!”.
