I’m so excited to partner up with Coach for their Spring 2017 collection! The beautiful Rogue bag is definitely going to be my wardrobe staple this season.
It’s spring cleaning time! I found a white turtleneck sweater that I bought seven years ago when travelling in Hong Kong, and I’m surprised that I haven’t worn it recently. It’s an amazing layering piece, and the details on the sleeves and collar make any outfit looks more chic. It’s definitely an oldie but a goodie!

Happy Valentine’s Day! The day of love reminds me a lot of fun and memorable dates with my hubby, so I thought “oh hey~ it would be nice to re-style the wedding shoes into a date outfit!”. When searching for the perfect wedding shoes almost four years ago, I was looking for a pair that I could still wear often after the wedding. It didn’t take me long to decide… Salvatore Ferragamo platform pump with Vara bow was “the one”. It’s simple, versatile, and comfortable.
It’s the beginning of February, and the snow is back! It’s such a perfect weather to chill at home and enjoy the goodies from Vancity Box. Vancity Box is a subscription box company in Vancouver that features products from local businesses. Let’s take a break from the usual styling post and let me share with you what locally made goodies are in the box!
When I received the white and blue box, I felt so excited guessing what would be in it:
I was very impressed with the neat packaging and product layout:
Surprise! Here is a list of products in the box:
- A greeting card by Just Greet. It’s so cute that I might frame it and turn it into a wall decoration.
- Two boxes of vegan organic dark chocolate by Hooray Truffles (blackberry ginger balsamic infusion and dark & intense). The chocolates are not super sweet, love them.
- Two jars of 100% soy wax-all natural hand poured candles by Just Candles Co (pear, vanilla & musk, and black pepper, leather & musk). They make a room smells like a spa.
Overall, I love the goodies in Vancity Box. The products are very practical, they can either be consumed or used on a daily basis. Most importantly, it’s a great way to support and discover local small businesses!
Although 2016 went by way too fast, it was overall a great year. Minimalistmel.com celebrated one year anniversary last summer, and I’m so thankful for several collaboration opportunities in the past year. So excited to share more styling ideas in 2017!
After raining for almost a month in Vancouver, I was so excited to wake up to winter wonderland. It’s a beautiful snowy day, but it’s freezing cold. This winter “survival” outfit will definitely keep you warm!
A cropped sweater with scalloped hemline (Wilfred Sardou Sweater) at Aritzia caught my eyes. I couldn’t decide which colour to get, so I ended up buying both in heather birch and heather black. I went one size up for a cozy and oversized look. The sweater is simple but unique. It’s versatile and makes any outfit looks chic!
